The Government of Kerala constituted Loka Kerala Sabha (LKS) as a common platform for Keralites living across the globe; it is envisaged as a platform for the cultural, socio-political and economic integration of these myriad Kerala's diaspora with the home Kerala.

Norka Roots

NORKA ROOTS, holds a prominent role as the nodal agency for all matters concerning Non Resident Keralites (NRKs). With a mission to create a robust institutional framework, NORKA ROOTS actively supports in addressing NRK grievances, safeguarding their rights, and facilitating the rehabilitation of return emigrants. This dynamic agency implements welfare schemes for NRKs, harnessing their expertise and resources for their overall benefit.

State Bank of India

State Bank of India (SBI) is an Indian multinational public sector bank and financial services statutory body, headquartered in Mumbai. It is the largest bank in India with a 23% market share by assets and a 25% share of the total loan and deposits market. As of 2024, SBI has 500 million customers.

SBI provides a range of banking products through its network of branches in India and overseas, including products aimed at non-resident Indians (NRIs).

KFC

KFC is a trend setter and path breaker in the field of long term finance, playing a major role in the development and industrialisation of Kerala. Established in 1953, Now KFC has 21 Branch Offices with its Head Quarters at Thiruvananthapuram and Zonal Offices at Kozhikode, Ernakulam and Thiruvananthapuram

The main objective of KFC is the rapid industrialization of the state by extending financial assistance to Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises in manufacturing and service sector. Corporation can give financial assistance for setting up of new units and for the expansion / modernization / diversification of existing units in both manufacturing and service sectors.

KSIDC

Kerala State Industrial Development Corporation (KSIDC) is the premier agency of the Government of Kerala, mandated to for industrial and investment promotion in Kerala. The one-stop-shop for any investment in Kerala, KSIDC offers a comprehensive set of services that an investor needs to set up an enterprise in the State.

A major concern for NRIs is approvals delay. KSIDC has formal single-window and online clearance pathways designed to reduce friction for setting up and running enterprises. K-SWIFT, online single window interface to help enterprises secure multiple clearances, track progress, and reduce back-and-forth.

Kerala Startup Mission

The Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM) is the nodal agency of the government of Kerala for promoting entrepreneurship in the state. It is also the implementing body for the Kerala Technology Startup Policy that supports the state's startup ecosystem through the various schemes and support programs. KSUM was founded in 2006, with the goal to promote technology-based entrepreneurship activities and to create the infrastructure and ecosystem required to support high-end technology-based startup businesses.

The interventions made by KSUM in Kerala have brought about a cultural change among the youth of Kerala, as well as in how the government goes about its work. Young minds who come up with innovative solutions now have the support of various incubators and government schemes as highlighted earlier, which not only help bring in funding but also provide mentorship and expansion opportunities at different stages. This approach of the government enables startups to entrepreneurs to get ample opportunities to collaborate with the support infrastructure to develop impactful technology solutions.

It seeks to address the challenges of providing holistic health care, employment, social security, infrastructure, food and nutrition security with a pro-poor bias, gender justice and inclusion of outliers, within severe fiscal constraints.

Kerala Knowledge Economy Mission (KKEM), and Job Ready are K-DISC initiatives, aims to create jobs for the educated by transforming Kerala into a Knowledge Society that produces, consumes and transacts knowledge for the benefit of its own social and economic development. Over the next four years, the Kerala Knowledge Economy Mission aims to provide gainful employment to 20 lakh people in various sectors and job fields.
